Overview
FiveDBA is an automated database backup and recovery platform for FiveM (GTA V roleplay) servers, published by curtcreation.dev. It protects what players care about most, their economies, vehicles and inventories, by streaming encrypted MySQL backups offsite on a schedule.

The problem
Most FiveM servers keep player data in MySQL and back it up with Task Scheduler .bat scripts that fail silently, manual HeidiSQL or phpMyAdmin exports that get skipped before a 2 AM hotfix, or dump files sitting on the same VPS drive as the live database. When a broken resource update corrupts tables or the host fails, the backups are missing or gone along with the server.
How it works
A lightweight agent runs next to the game server as a Windows service or Linux systemd daemon. It reads the database over loopback using InnoDB consistent snapshots, so player saves keep working without table locks. Each snapshot is gzip-compressed and encrypted with AES-256 CTR and HMAC-SHA256 entirely in memory, then streamed to offsite S3-compatible storage. No temporary .sql files touch the disk, and no inbound ports are opened: the agent only makes outbound TLS connections.
What we built
A Go agent and CLI (fivedba start, status, update, doctor) with Windows and Linux installers that register it as a background service
A Fastify API that keeps agents and the dashboard in sync over WebSockets
A Next.js dashboard for schedules, the encrypted backup vault, 1-click rollback, pre-update snapshots, a database explorer, Discord alerts and team access
Subscription plans from a free tier up to multi-server Ultra, with Clerk accounts and Paddle billing
The dashboard
Server owners see backup activity, storage use and the agent connection health at a glance, and can trigger a snapshot before updating scripts without logging into the VPS.

Every backup lands in the encrypted vault with its server slot, size and protection mode, ready to roll back or download.

Status
FiveDBA is currently under maintenance ahead of its next release.
